According to Mike Sando of ESPN.com, Rams running back Steven Jackson gets very testy when reporters start talking about his age. Jackson is 28 and nearing that point where running backs start to fade but he told reporters, " "I still feel fresh and still feel young." Please do not suggest Jackson, coming off six consecutive 1,000-yard seasons, has suddenly become an old man. Do not suggest Jackson needs newly signed running backs Cadillac Williams and Jerious Norwood to carry some of the load. Don't ask whether it's good having one of those guys helping out on third down. "It's a definite positive, anytime you have depth at any position," Jackson said. "I think we have depth now at the offensive line, at the tight ends, we have a lot of receivers here. Anytime you have depth where if a guy so happens to come up hurt, a guy needs a blow, you’ll have guys that’ll be able to fill into the positions, give a guy a break and that helps us overall."
