Giants TE Ben Patrick Retires

Discussion in 'New York Giants' started by BigBlueBruiser, Aug 6, 2011.

  1. First tonight, the Giants lost there first-round draft pick CB Prince Amukamara for an undetermined amount of time. Now, they’ll lose TE Ben Patrick, forever… To retirement. And no, were not kidding, either. TE Ben Patrick (newly signed from Arizona) announced he no longer wants to play football and has decided to retire. The Giants have placed him on reserve/retired list. Let the rumors of Seahawks TE John Carlson to the Giants heat up.

  2. With Boss in Oakland....this is a bigger deal.

I don't care now if Osi is included in the deal or not......we must find a way to acquire Carlson.

    86WARD -

Osi, cash and a 3rd round pick. :icon_cool:

  4. I'd be willing to throw some dough in that deal I originally proposed.

This now leaves us with Travis Beckum and Jake Ballard as our TE's. Bear Pascoe is battling with Henry Hynoski for the starting fullback position.

  6. Now I really wished we took a TE in the draft.....

  7. Do what you gotta do Ben......

  8. I actually think if they get a blocking TE Beckum isn't a bad option as the pass catching threat.

The Giants sure are having some crapty luck, as of late

  10. Brandon Manumaleuna I suppose would do if a deal for John Carlson doesn't go down.

But I do not want any part of Alge Crumpler.
