Free Agent WR Terrell Owens Close To 100 Percent From ACL Surgery

Discussion in 'NFL General Discussion' started by BigBlueBruiser, Aug 9, 2011.

  1. Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports free agent wide receiver Terrell Owens is just a couple of weeks away from returning to 100 percent after tearing his ACL in April. Owens just had surgery in early April, giving him about four months of recovery time. Florio speculates that Owens could either land in Arizona or reunite with former teammate Chad Ochocinco in New England. It's very likely he will have to wait at least until mid-season to latch on with a team. Owens will turn 38 in December.

He's injured. How is he playing the waiting game? This isn't saying he has no suitors.

It says he's likely to have to wait until mid-season. With an ACL injury, I doubt he has a lot of suitors. Someone will pick him up, he still has to play the waiting game.

Florio just keeps proving how worthless he is by putting this story out. Owens is not close to 100%. And to put that otherwise with stating sources is awful. 4 month is not enough time to recover, I don't give a damn who the player is, he can't magically heal faster.

T.O. will at the very least be invited in by some teams to take a physical...if things check out, he'll have a gig somewhere...

T.O. was a grown man last season. Dude is still in top shape imo. Probably has 3 decent years left in him if he can shake this.

Not a doubt in my mind. Just like he was snitching about the holes on our team after our FA run.

So glad I don't have to hear that crybaby do pressers anymore.

Oh yeah, definitely couldn't be a #1. Could be a decent option as a #2 until Maclin gets his rod right.

Supposedly Avant has been killing it in camp, but I just can't see him do all that well on the outside.

Beware if you call TO back to Philly.

IMO, he's not going to be happy until all the spotlight falls on him. I don't care who the QB is.

Apparently we're going with NYG Steve Smith instead.

The guy who supposedly won't be ready till midseason.

    Brilliant!
