Mike Triplett of The Times-Picayune reports the New Orleans Saints are planning to move a portion of their training camp to Oxnard, California. According to the report, the Saints would continue west after their August 20 preseason road game against the Houston Texans, spending a week practicing in Oxnard before their August 28 game against the Oakland Raiders in Oakland. Oxnard was the full-time training camp home for the Dallas Cowboys from 2003 through 2006. Saints head coach Sean Payton coached the team's quarterbacks from 2003 through 2005 before becoming the Saints head coach in 2006. Under Payton, the Saints have held training camps in Jackson, Mississippi for three seasons before staying at their Metarie, Louisiana headquarters the last three seasons. Source: macsfootballblog
