Michael Vick picked up where he left off last year and then quickly took a safe seat on the sideline. Vick threw for 74 yards and a touchdown pass in his only series and the new-look Philadelphia Eagles beat the Baltimore Ravens 13-6 Thursday night in their preseason opener. Nnamdi Asomugha, Vince Young and several other big-name acquisitions made their debut for the Eagles, who've signed a slew of free agents with impressive resumes in the past two weeks. Joe Flacco played two series and led the Ravens to a field goal on the opening possession. Vick, the runner-up to Tom Brady for NFL MVP, completed 4 of 6 passes, including a 3-yard TD toss to Brent Celek. Source: ESPN
Yet, the Eagles only put up 13 points. The positive, the defense apparently did well - granted, Ravens obviously played horrible. And the starting team did score the only TD. Nonetheless. Nothing impressive, but I guess a win is a win.
It was rough but im not in panic mode, Kruger and Kindle looked great tho, as did Arthur Jones and Pernell Mcphee. Kindle looks huge!
Our first team offense marched down the field with ease. The DL got penetration the entire game. Secondary covered well. I'd have been fine if we didn't score a point and looked like that. Getting a win is a little bonus.
They should get penetration. The defense obviously did well, like I said. It's still early on. I just don't think its anything to get up in arms about just yet. Positive or negative.
I love Mike Kafka. I'm just going to put that out there. On the other hand Vince Young can suck a c**k! If that first team Offense can move like that this season it'll be a nice year! And Vick moved nicely without Jackson and Maclin. We'll see what happens when Herpes and Crazy Legs are out there.
this is a great start and win for this Eagles team. im a little worried tho since they play in the NFC East
