Seahawks offensive tackle Russell Okung was taken off the field on a cart with an left ankle injury in the first quarter of Thursday night's preseason opener against the Chargers. The extent is unclear, but this has the potential to be a big concern for Seattle. The injury is to the same leg that helped cripple Okung's rookie season, marred by recurring high left ankle sprains. Offensive tackle Tyler Polumbus is now starting in Okung's place. It was a non-contract type injury.......they can't afford to lose him for an extended period of time.
Yeah. Big hit for the Seahawks on the line. They need the protection for Jackson. I'm thinking 7-9 won't win you the division this year.
I'd take Hasselback with a broken hand over Tavaris Jackson as my QB at this point. There's a difference there. ;)
