Plaxico Burress is re-plotting his return. The Jets' wideout, who sprained his left ankle while running routes at the start of training camp, told ESPN he will be ready to participate in full practice Wednesday when Gang Green takes the field for the first time following Monday night's game. "If he's as eager as I am, we've got some trouble on our hands," wideout Santonio Holmes said. Burress, who turned 34 on Friday, said he wants to "get on same page as soon as possible" with quarterback Mark Sanchez, so "our passing game can go to the next level." Recent signee Derrick Mason started in Burress's place against the Texans Monday night. He caught three balls for 21 yards. Source: NY Daily News
