Bengals Coach Marvin Lewis Debunks Brett Favre-To-Cincinnati Rumors

So there was this rumor floating around town and through cyberspace today regarding a sighting of Brett Favre in Cincinnati and that he and the Bengals were talking. When asked if there was any truth to the rumors, the facial expression of head coach Marvin Lewis resembled — as my colleague Joe Reedy aptly described — like the old bitter beer faces made famous by the Keystone Light commercials. The rumor was discussed in large part on 700 WLW’s afternoon show with Tracy Jones and Scott Sloan. “Who’s Tracy Jones?â€￾ asked Lewis. So don’t look for Favre to be in Cincinnati with the Bengals any time soon.

Why in the hell would Favre come back and play for a dysfunctional franchise in the Bengals?

And what makes people think Favre would ever play for a owner like Mike Brown?

People have gotten real sick with these Favre rumors......I'd tell them to seek professional help.

 

People don't want to admit that Brett Favre may, actually, be retired, this time. Hell, there was even a Brett Favre to Carolina rumor, a while back.

 

Brett Favre to play for the Auburn Tigers? Whaaaaaaaat? Seriously. They need to let this die.

 

I actually heard he was going to go back to Ole' Miss and play basketball next season.
