The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed defensive backs Kevin Dockery and Macho Harris. Dockery and Harris are expected to give Pittsburgh's secondary some needed depth. Veterans Ike Taylor (broken thumb) and Bryant McFadden (hamstring) have been limited in training camp and neither will play Thursday when the Steelers host Philadelphia. To make room for Dockery and Harris, the Steelers placed wide receiver Limas Sweed on the waived/injured list and waived tight end Eugene Bright. Sweed, a second-round pick in the 2008, struggled during his three seasons in Pittsburgh. Source: Associated Press
love the macho pickup...always liked him in this system. sweed will be a jet, redskin, or cardinal by the end of the week
I can't see him coming to Philly there are way too many bodies at WR and as much as he is a big target he is definitely a project player, but Arizona, Jets, Buffalo and to add one i think the Giants could take a shot at him
I was going to mention the G-Men but they seem content on their current receivers....... Philly would not surprise me considering there signing everyone left and right.
I don't know if I'm ready to close the book on Limas but you can definitely call him a bust draft pick for the Steelers. There was really no point in keeping him on the roster any longer.
He'll be known for dropping passes and one hellacious block. He was pretty much useless and they probably gave him a little more time than was really necessary.
