Appearing on SportsCenter Friday morning, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported that the Dolphins indeed intend to give Reggie Bush a legitimate chance to be a featured running back. "They're anxious to see if he's fully capable of being the workhorse," said Schefter. We're extremely, extremely skeptical that Bush will suddenly become a different player in his sixth NFL season, but Miami have never had a clue about how to evaluate skill position talent. Bush's audition for the feature back role begins in tonight's preseason game against Carolina. Source: Evan Silva: Twitter.com
Every time I think of that bum I think about him running down the sidelines, no one within 10 yards of him, certified touchdown but then the ball just pops out of his hands and out of bounds. That's what that's what the Dolphins are getting.
I think about him .. in two ways. Muffing a punt, and losing it. OR when he catches it, backing up 10-15 yards if not more..and trying to outrun an entire NFL Special teams unit. THAT'S what they're getting, too.
If he couldn't run behind a great line in NO, with an All Pro QB keeping the defense honest, why would they think he can do it in Miami?
