Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne missed Friday's preseason game against the Redskins with a personal issue. Wayne has now been away for three days with a vague "personal issue." According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, "It’s impossible to rule out that Wayne is merely unhappy with his personal income." Set to make $5.95 million in a season in which he'll turn 33, it would be easy to understand if Wayne was looking to have his contract sweetened. His status should be updated this weekend. For me, that means: I have no idea what the personal issue is, so I'll say he's unhappy with his contract. He's willing to practice, was there at the start of training camp, but doesn't want to play a series or two then sit on the sideline for the evening ... sounds legit.
Before the game it was mentioned on the broadcast and on the radio that his significant other was having a baby.
