Terrelle Pryor's pro day is yet another example of why the NFL is so confounding and why amazingly smart men lose the ability for rational thinking when a big athlete runs fast. He ran the 40-yard dash quite fast, and two scouts who attended had two different times--one clocked Pryor at 4.42 and the other at 4.40. Mike Freeman of CBS Sports had spoken to two personnel men before the pro day and their belief, after watching hours of film of Pryor, was that he's years away from being an NFL quarterback and both seriously doubted he'd make it in the NFL. There are more than a few general managers and coaches who feel the same. The biggest on-field issues: throwing motion and accuracy, but then came the pro day and those same personnel men, well, they were saying something different in texts to Freeman. "His speed is changing my mind," said one. Source: CBS Sports
actually.... "Agent Drew Rosenhaus said his client - former Ohio State QB Terrelle Pryor - will play any position he's asked."
Well having above average speed is a NECCESITY in the NFL these days. I mean look at Peyton, Tom, Drew, and Aaron. :icon_rolleyes: Come on out guys. Let's rip his throwing motion and accuracy....but, you wont because ESPN hasn't made it the "in thing" to do.
He can't throw and has terrible accuracy. Happy mush? Dude is an athlete, he could be like Matt "Mutha Screwin" Jones minus the coke.
So I didn't realize that he ranked so high in so many categories at OSU. Has OSU's QB's REALLY sucked that bad? Does anyone know which reams WEREN'T at the pro day? Also of note, He's NOT appealing the suspension.
And proves my thoughts on him as well. I remember OSU saying he was running 4.2, which was ridiculous, and going by the fact that he's running 4.4 unofficial means you can probably slap another 0.15 onto it, making a 4.55. IIRC, I made a prediction a while ago that he runs a 4.6, so it would appear I'm not too far off.
The word I hear is he has very good speed, but his passing mechanics are awful. He's also used to being coddled, which he's going to have to get rid of if he wants to succeed in the NFL.
