Defensive tackle Mike Patterson returned to the practice field for the first time Saturday since suffering a seizure as a result of a brain AVM back on August 3. Head athletic trainer Rick Burkholder said that Patterson saw four AVM specialists and a seizure specialist and was cleared to return. Patterson has a few long-term options for curing the brain AVM, but he is going to wait until the end of the season. The Eagles have evaluated Patterson's conditioning over the past 7-10 days and felt comfortable having him participate in the 10-10-10 workout. The fact that Patterson has rested since the seizure first occurred dramatically descreases the chance of another seizure taking place, according to Burkholder. Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com
