Buccaneers CB Aqib Talib, Titans WR Kenny Britt Facing "Lengthy" Suspensions

Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib and Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt are facing suspensions and will meet this week with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to plead their cases, according to league sources. Talib is scheduled to be in New York on Tuesday, and Britt will be there either Tuesday or Wednesday, though his exact time meeting time was unavailable. One league source said the players could be in line for "lengthy" suspensions, however Talib's attorneys are convinced they have a sound defense that will appease the NFL and could help save their client. In March, Talib was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Texas. Britt is facing a Sept. 20 court date after he pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct charges stemming from a July incident at a car wash in Hoboken, N.J.

I just don't see how Talib avoids a suspension not to mention jail time.

 

Napoleon I mean Goodell will definitely hand out lengthy suspensions, it makes him feel like a man. Granted Aqib deserves some form of punishment. Are the Bucs still planning on cutting him?

 

I haven't heard a damn thing about him down here in months.

Not surprised about Talib. Before he was drafted, there were rumors that he failed drug tests because he smoked grbutt.

 

The heck does that have to do with shooting at his brother in law or whatever he did?

 

I think he was trying to say that people knew he would have off the filed issues. The weed was like the first baby step towards being a heck up.

SMH I didn't say weed was. The fact that he was so CARELESS about using before the draft is the POINT I was trying to make. What the hell is Reefer Madness? I was just pointing out he's careless and doesn't think about the consequences. Would any of you smoke weed before a job interview?

I was talking about the stupidity about using before the draft and not thinking about the fallout. The guy I quoted mentioned the controversy before the draft. I was building off that.
