Safety Taylor Mays has been traded from the 49ers to the Bengals for an undisclosed draft pick, according to a report on ESPN. Reporter Adam Schefter posted the following on Twitter shortly after 5 p.m.: "49ers traded S Taylor Mays to Bengals for an undisclosed draft pick." Comcast SportsNet Bay Area contacted the Bengals Monday evening, but a team spokesperson would neither confirm or deny the report. In Seattle, KJR Radio personality Dave Mahler posted news of the deal on Twitter as well, citing an undisclosed source. Mays is a Seattle native. This is Mahler's statement: "Per Source: #49ers S Taylor Mays going to #Bengals via trade. Working on details." Mays was selected in the second round of the 2010 draft by San Francisco out of USC, the 49th selection overall.
