Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman Scott Kooistra underwent successful spinal-cord surgery on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of 1500ESPN.com reports. According to Pelissero, Kooistra was injured when he collided with Seattle Seahawks linebacker Aaron Curry on Saturday night. Despite the injury, Kooistra played three more snaps before exiting the game and being taken to a Seattle hospital. Kooistra's operation was performed in Seattle. Joseph Linta, Kooistra's agent, says the injury is believed to be to the C-2 vertebra near the top of the neck. "Successful surgery and praying for a full recovery," Linta said.
