According to the official Jacksonville Jaguars twitter page, the team has waived five players today-punter Brent Bowden, kicker Sam Swank, linebacker Slade Norris, safety Michael Hamlin, and wide receiver Tiquan Underwood. Norris was a fourth-round pick of the Raiders in 2009 that was cut prior to the 2010 season. Hamlin spent much of last season on the Jags' practice squad after getting cut by the Cowboys. With Chris Prosinski ready to go as the No. 3 safety, Hamlin is a goner. It is a particularly bad sign for Underwood, who was a seventh round pick in 2009, that he can't even make the team with perhaps the weakest receiving corps in the league. Source: TheRedZone.org
At first glance I thought "seventh-round pick so what" then the article reminded me how bad the Jaguars WR corp is and damn. He might as well head up to the CFL.
