Can Inman of the San Jose Mercury News reports the Denver Broncos and Jacksonville Jaguars just named their opening-day quarterbacks, but coach Jim Harbaugh still isn't compelled to announce Alex Smith as the 49ers' starter. "I just don't have any pressure on myself to name a starting quarterback in a timetable manner," Harbaugh said Tuesday. Smith has started both exhibition games and is on target to secure the job ahead of rookie Colin Kaepernick and veteran Josh McCown. Smith started the first seven games last season and has a 19-31 record as a starter since being drafted first overall in 2005. Asked when he planned to announced his starting quarterback, Harbaugh replied: "Before the first game." That would be Sept. 11 against the Seattle Seahawks at Candlestick Park. Source: theredzone.org
"Before the first game" - Really? Lol. I wouldn't have confidence in Smith, either. No worries, Harbaugh.
It doesnt matter who the QB is for this team. You plug in any QB and they will catch the 49ers suck balls fever.
