In the Texans' 30-7 win over San Francisco Saturday night, 2010 rushing champion Foster hurt his hamstring running with the ball. Coach Gary Kubiak pronounced him day-to-day, and it's not certain he'll start opening day against Indianapolis. On Sunday afternoon, Foster, a thoughtful guy who writes poetry and doesn't buy into the idea that famous football players should be seen and spout only cliches, tweeted this: "4 those sincerely concerned I'm doing ok. 4 those worried about ur fantasy tm, u ppl are sick #nfl'' Peter KIng of Sports Illustrated has been asking people in and out of the game about fantasy football this summer. It's just so big, and so odd because of its ability to change rooting habits from teams to individuals. For Kurt Warner, fantasy football actually played a small part in him walking away from the game. "You just get tired of having a good game, and your team winning, and someone coming up to you and saying, 'Nice win. How come you only threw for two touchdowns?' It gets old,'' he said. While I enjoy Fantasy Football, people get ridiculously out of hand with it. Seriously, people like that need to go somewhere and get a life
I agree with you but not as harshly........lol But FF does take away the purity of the game. It's all stats. Nothing else.
For me FF is a GAME. Much like playing Risk, Checkers or Tic Tac Toe. There is some skill involved, but more over it depends on "how the cards fall".
I get it but i think people to associate all FF players with people that dont know the game or care besides stats. I love FF, i play every year but outside of the game im not a big stats guy, i eye ball test everything first. I get the players frustration but at the same time if crazy fans dont snitch about FF stats they'll just snitch about something else. I think these guys get insane amounts of money to play a game and they should snitch a little less.
I've never played FF. I've wanted to though. But I have some coworkers that act as if they're real GM's, it's sickening to me. Maybe if some of these guys had a little more s*x in their life they wouldn't be so caught up in this.
FAntasy Football is one of the gayest and dumbest things on the planet. Having said that, I do it...lol. But yeah, I would imagine it could get annoying. Reason to retire? Nah.
Ha. Pretty much! I like it. But I never draft Eagles players. And often draft division rivals. That way if they heckin suck on the field and lose, I win. And if they rip it up that week, I sorta kinda win, too. But anyone who lets fantasy take precedent over rooting for their own team to win or the opposing team to get receptions or TDs isn't a true fan. No way.
If he's there and is a need, yeah you gotta take him. And the only Eagle I MIGHT risk taking if the value was there would be Vick. Or LeSean if it's a PPR league.
