Lions Release RB Mike Bell

Discussion in 'Detroit Lions' started by BigBlueBruiser, Aug 29, 2011.

  1. Lions released running back Mike Bell. Bell was hampered by an illness and Aaron Brown has been showing well in camp. At age 28 without any special skills, Bell will likely need injuries to latch on elsewhere.

No shocker here...Aaron Brown earned his spot against the Pats

Very true, Mike Bell didn't show anything during pre-season. I'll be surprised if Harrison makes the team.

Becuz of the RB situation I honestly think Harrison will make the team...unless they go trade for a RB

Rushing yards 1,475, Average 3.7, Rushing touchdowns 14 with stats like these for his career I just don't see anybody picking him up except for maybe the Dolphins.

Miami? Doubt it. I could see him going to the Redskins and reunite with shanahan.

I didn't think of Washington. I say Miami because of the role he and Reggie played with the Saints. When Reggie doesn't work out as a featured back he might come in handy along with Johnson.

You are sleeping on Maurice Morris, he has been out with a broken hand since the start of camp. If Harrison stays it's only till Morris is fully healed, and I've heard he is close to being back. Best/Morris/Brown is our 3 headed monster this season.
