According to NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock, Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd has "preseason first-round grades from most NFL teams." Mayock is also NBC's Notre Dame color commentator and has been around the team all summer. "He's a big-bodied receiver, 6'3/225," added Mayock. "Good, not great speed. ... I think he's got an ability to go on the second half of the first round." Floyd was talked about as a potential supplemental pick after a third alcohol incident in college, but he's since been cleared by Notre Dame and will play out the season free of suspension. First test against the USF Bulls secondary that returns 3 of 4 starters from last year's 17th overall ranked defense. And with the potential of a QB merry-go-round at ND it'll be interesting to follow this kid. But, ya can't teach 6'3" 225.
i dont like ashlon jeffrey at all....blackmon then floyd for me ive always liked floyd a lot but after his heroic freshman year hes regressed. and the biggest knock on him is how terribly slow he is off the snap
I don't put stock in preseason grades. That's like trying to pick a Super Bowl winner during training camp. I'll wait until the season before I buy into this. But I am with themush you can't teach 6'3" 225.
