Cowboys defensive end Igor Olshansky has been informed that he will be released on Saturday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. The 29-year-old Olshansky has started 28 of 32 games with the Cowboys since signing a five-year, $22.5 million contract as a free agent in 2009. Olshansky has 78 tackles and 1.5 quarterback sacks over the last two seasons, and was due $3.335 million in base salary this upcoming season. A second-round pick out of the Oregon in 2004 by the San Diego Chargers, the 6-foot-5, 315-pound Olshansky has 257 tackles and 12.5 quarterback sacks during his seven-year career.
