The Cowboys have released offensive tackle Sam Young out of Notre Dame to make room on the 53-man roster for veteran offensive guard Derrick Dockery. Young (6-8, 332), the 2010 sixth-round draft choice, played both tackle positions as a backup last year for the Cowboys, but he struggled throughout training camp this year. Several times Young was beaten off the ball badly for what would have been sacks. The 30-year-old Dockery, the former Texas Longhorn and Garland Lakeview Centennial grad, agreed to a one-year deal with the Cowboys on Sunday. Dockery (6-6, 325) was waived in March by the Washington Redskins. Source: Dallas Morning News
