In a moment of self-honesty, Cowboys outside linebacker Anthony Spencer admitted he didn't give the proverbial 110 percent on every play last season. Spencer told ESPN.com that he failed to give his best effort on every snap during the Cowboys' 6-10 season. Apparently that revelation came to Spencer while he reviewed tape from last year and saw himself making mistakes he couldn't explain. "You can't mail days in in this league," Spencer said. "And I definitely found I was doing that last year." Spencer promised to remedy the problem this season by "focusing more in practice." Even though he admittedly didn't play up to his highest efforts, the fourth-year linebacker had the second-most combined tackles (63) of his career, five sacks and two forced fumbles.

it's whatever. Hopefully this statement can make him play to his potential, cause when the dude is on, he's a monster. When he's off, he looks a bit lost.

He's gotta come and play this season or he's gonna hear a crap ton of criticism on his play. He just put a lot of pressure on himself...maybe it helps...
