The New York Jets capped a wild fourth quarter with a last-second field goal that gave them a 27-24 win Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys. Darrelle Revis intercepted Tony Romo with 51 seconds remaining, putting the Jets in position for Nick Folk's game-winning 50-yard kick. The Cowboys had led 24-10 with 14:50 remaining in the quarter, but the Jets drove for a score, blocked a punt for another touchdown and made a key stop at their own goal line by forcing Tony Romo into a fumble. If Romo is a Rookie, maybe even second year player, maybe some forgiveness. But Romo is well into his career and continuing the same types of mistakes that will always keep the 'Boys from reaching their full potential. He's been Top 10 year after year and Dallas continues to be the perennial "should contend" team. He's good, but better start looking for a replacement because this and many other losses are a direct result of Romo's guffaws.
All. Admit he made bonrhead play but the blocked punt is his fault also... Or how about calling 3 consecutive pass plays on goaline.. Instead of running in Sent from my HTC EVO using Tapatalk.
If they he threw the ball away he never fumbles, they get 3 points, and that blocked punt never happens. But it did happen. So their defense bailed him out, and on his 1st throw he throws it directly to Revis. And on the goalline you have just as good a shot of passing it in as running it in against that Jets defense. This one's on Romo, not the playcallers or anyone else.
You could also make a case that Dez Bryant could've made more of an effort or an effort to tackle Revis...team game...
