Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski has tied an NFL record with a 63-yard field goal. Following a Matt Giordano interception, his first since the 2007 season, with 24 seconds remaining in the half, the Raiders caught a break when Broncos defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson was flagged 15 yards for grabbing the facemask of Raiders running back Michael Bush. Oakland was able to drive to the Broncos' 45-yard line and sent Janikowski out on the field with five seconds remaining to attempt the 63-yard field goal. Broncos head coach John Fox had no timeouts left to "ice" Janikowski, who ESPN showed hitting from that distance during pregame warm-ups. Janikowski's kick barely cleared the crossbar near the left upright, but was enough to put the 2000 first-round pick out of Florida State into the record books alongside retired New Orleans Saints kicker Tom Dempsey and Denver Broncos kicker Jason Elam.
