While it is early, the Chargers have also lost defensive end Luis Castillo for a good chunk of time, perhaps even the season. Castillo suffered a fractured tibia in his left leg in the fourth quarter. The Chargers may turn to Ogemdi Nwagbuo, who was cut last week, to replace Castillo. Running back Mike Tolbert, who scored three touchdowns Sunday, also suffered a knee injury late in Sunday’s game. He walked from the stadium without a limp and was among several people who said it did not appear to be a serious injury.

Lots of injuries coming down in Week 1, which wasn't unexpected.

A lot of times those are the ones that are the most serious. How many times have we seen a player carted off the field and they're back out there the next week? On the flip side, a player jogs off the field and next thing you know the MRI reveals a tear of some sort and is done for the year.
