As a defensive-minded coach, New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan has set high standards for his players on that side of the ball. So after allowing 390 yards of total offense to the Dallas Cowboys in Sunday night's 27-24 win, Ryan declined to issue a game ball to a defensive player. "We're not going to give a game ball to any defensive players," Ryan said. "There were times when — Bart Scott played tremendous — but when your defense is not consistent and we don't play to our standards, we're not getting game balls." Source: Mac's Football Blog
Oooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhh.....burn. Rex, STFU. Good Lord, you think these men give a flying heck? Really?
I get the gesture but you guys are right. These are grown men who more then likely don't give a heck.
I understand when you guys say these guys probabbly dont really care. But I understand Rex cause he doesnt want to let his defense know that enough is enough. He wants them to get trying harder. Pretty much saying that performance wasnt good enough
