Chargers Sign K Nick Novak

    The Chargers have signed K Nick Novak to replace the injured Nate Kaeding, who is out for the season with a knee injury he suffered in Week 1. Novak was in training camp with the Jets before losing a close battle with Nick Folk for the starting PK job. Novak hasn't kicked in an NFL game since 2008, but apparently the Chargers have confidence in him as a replacement for Kaeding.
