Chicago Bears middle linebacker Brian Urlacher was expected to miss a few days this week to tend to a family matter. Today, Urlacher announced through the Bears organization that his mother, Lavoyda, had passed away at her home in Texas. "My first priority right now is to be with my family as we mourn her loss and make the arrangements to lay her to rest," Urlacher said. "This is a very difficult and emotional time for us and I sincerely ask that you respect our privacy. Thank you." Source: Mac's Football Blog
That's tough man. I can't imagine losing my mom and going back to work. Condolences to him and his family.
