DeSean Jackson has some protection this season, the Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver is patiently waiting for a contract extension. He’s making $600,000 this season and would like more. In the meantime, Jackson has secured an insurance policy, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer,Jackson would only say it’s worth “millions.†The only problem with these policies is they serve as protection against a career-ending injury only. If Jackson were to suffer say a torn ACL and never be the same player he currently is again, the policy wouldn’t pay him because it wouldn’t be deemed career ending, hopefully for Jackson and the Eagles a deal emerges soon.
