A report from WGR Sports Radio 550 by way of Kevin Fishbain of Profootbally Weekly indicates the team has begun negotiations on a contract extension with QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, whose contract expires at the end of the season. "He's very intelligent and he probably could have done a lot of other things with his life and his career, and he chose to stick with (football)," Gailey said about Fitzpatrick before the season opener. "I think everybody knows I think the world of the guy." Source: The Redzone
They've tried drafting RB's, CB's, DT's, LB's, S's and so on in recent drafts. How about drafting a QB. Do they really think they can win with this guy. Don't let the blowout at Arrowhead fool ya.
He's been solid throughout his entire career when given the chance. The last problem in buffalo is Fitzpatrick, their line is awful and they traded every WR they had not named Steve Johnson. Their defense is absolutely atrocious as well, Shawne Merriman is supposed to be the anchor and he can't stay healthy. The last thing wrong with this team is him, as a matter of fact, he, not Spiller, not Jackson, made them competitive.
Fitzpatrick may not exactly be your prototypical QB but he gets the job done. He's finally found the offense that he's comfortable with.
