The Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to a long-term contract extension with cornerback Brandon Flowers, Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star reports. Financial terms were not disclosed. A second-round pick out of Virginia Tech in 2008, Flowers has started 44 of his 45 games in the NFL, totaling 201 tackles and 10 interceptions, two of which he's returned for touchdowns. Flowers is earning $600,000 in base salary in 2011, the final season of a four-year, $4.722 million rookie contract that included just over $3 million in guarantees. Source: Mac's Football Blog
If it's the 5 years 50 million, 22 million guarunteed that I'm hearing it seems like an overpayment for Flowers. He's a good CB but not at that price.
