In the first quarter of the New York Giants' 28-16 win over the St. Louis Rams on Monday Night Football, the Rams shifted to a no-huddle offense and were effectively moving the ball down the field when Giants rookie linebacker Jacquian Williams and veteran safety Deon Grant, one of the most durable players to play the game in the last 10+ years, suddenly fell to the MetLife Stadium turf with mystery ailments. Williams got up, but Grant laid motionless on the turf before being helped off by trainers. The Rams believe the Giants players were faking injuries to slow the no-huddle offense down, and planned to include those plays as part of their packages of film cut-ups of questionable plays that all teams submit to the league office for clarification. "They couldn't get subbed, they couldn't line up," Rams quarterback Sam Bradford said. "Someone said, 'Someone go down, someone go down,' so someone just went down and grabbed a cramp." According to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News, the league looked into the issue and will not discipline Grant or the Giants because there was no admission of guilt on Grant's part. "Well, from my standpoint on the sideline I thought he was cramped," head coach Tom Coughlin said. "At that point in time, all I noticed was a player down." Source: Mac's Football Blog
Allegedly huh LMAO? Damn I hate politics. Everybody saw that snitch faked an injury, there is no allegedly. He could of actually went down during a play and faked it but this was so obvious, disrespectful, cowardly and so on.
That is one of the biggest reasons I hate soccer. Faking injuries is a snitch move. But in soccer it's so freaking blatant it's ridiculous.
