When training camp began last month, inside linebacker Sean Lee wasn't even a sure thing to start for the Dallas Cowboys, but after three eye-popping games as their starter, the Cowboys announced Wednesday, Lee has been named the NFC's Defensive Player of the Month. Lee is the first Cowboys player to win this award since it was established in 1986. The numbers that accompanied the release of this announcement are impressive. The Cowboys have credited Lee with a team-leading 36 tackles through three games. He also has two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, a tackle for a loss and three pass breakups. Source: ESPN
I recently read that one scout graded Lee higher than any other MLB prospect in the past decade except Patrick Willis.
In the same article I read........Jerry Jones graded him as the No. 16th overall prospect that year. Injuries kept Lee out of the first round.
The only MLB the Giants were high on that year was Rolando McClain.........they didn't show much interest in Lee and took Linval Joseph instead. He's become a good player on the D-Line and has quickness for a big man but Lee is playing at an elite level right now.
Yeah I read that jj was trying to trade into first round to get him. But couldn't... But I'm. Glad we still got him.... Yeah yhr knock on him was InJuries Sent from my HTC EVO using Tapatalk
Yeah.. this dude came to freaking play this year. I hope he keeps it up. He's definitely turning heads and quickly becoming an anchor of our defense.
To be honest.......I wanted no part of Lee either. I thought he was too stiff and just a straight line speed athlete. I actually had Darryl Washington rated higher than Lee that year.
The only semi bad game that he had IMO Was against the Jets well coverage wise at least LT was abusing him.
LT would abuse 99% of all NFL linebackers in coverage though. Like most people, I was really pissed when we drafted him. But I sure as hell am glad we got him though. Lee is playing like an all pro right now. I hope he keeps it up.
