Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders has joined the Tony Romo bashers. According to the Dallas Morning News, on NFL Network's Gameday show, Deion had the following strong words about Romo's performance this season, "I don’t understand this guy. Just when you want to believe in him, heroic effort, came back against San Francisco, they said punctured lung and everything. And we praised him, we said, “Yeah, he’s that leader, he’s their guy.†And then you come and do this. What are you thinking? Sooner or later we’ve just got to quit guessing and assuming that this guy’s is the guy to get you over the hump, and say, “You know what? This guy is always going to be great statistically, but he’s not that guy that can take you to where you want to go.†And that’s the Super Bowl." "Dallas Cowboys fans are sick of it. We had [Romo] on our shoulders last week. “Oh Tony, he’s our king!†But now we want to stone him. I’m serious, that’s the way [fans] feel about him because you can’t trust him. I like him. Statistically, he’s great, but you can’t trust him."

So we shouldn't blame Romo for the three interceptions he threw? This is Romo's MO. He did it once already this season to the Jets and countless times throughout the course of his career.

Thank you! Romo did have a terrible half. But lets give credit to the Lions. They made adjustments to counter all that was working for the Cowboys. And heckin Megatron.. Mother of God, that guy is just unstoppable. smh

Not defending romo but he has only done this about 4 -5 times in his career...

And lost, what about the game against Buffalo some years back when he threw like 4 picks I believe. He came back to win but it shouldn't of even got to that point. I find 4-5 times a bit low of a number though. Either way it's true what the "experts" (I use that term loosely) Romo is just an over-glamorized Rex Grossman.

As much as I love this post, without the 14 points Romo handed the Lions Calvin isn't in the position to win that game.

I agree with Sanders. Romo will never play in a super bowl, much less win one. And even if he did play in one, he would throw 4 picks in the second half and give the game away.

lions have been a second half team this year, the cowboys looked to have that crap locked up but that lions D has been very impressive which is so strange to say. Calvin taking over the world and bringing stafford with him isnt an accident either, theyve been planning this for years.

also i believe schwartz is a hell of a coach. Romo has never been an elite QB and he never will be but damn, i have a hard time believing hes not good enough. The lions are on fire right now, im personally excited for them...the nucleus of that team (Calvin, Stafford, Suh) is quite simply the most dominant young trio of players a team could have

i just have a hard time believing romo cant possibly be a good enough QB but eli manning was, rex grossman came real close, hell jake plummer had the broncos borderline superbowl. theyve got the pieces, it doesnt help that i think their coaching is pretty crapty and the secondary needs a lot of work (calvin aside, they had brilliant coverage on calvin and he still couldnt be stopped)

was it handed or did the lions just take it...up to interpretation i guess, but the cowboys were rolling and everything was going right for them until the lions got pissed off and did work

Jason Garrett is gong to have to sit down with Romo and talk to him about his decision making process.

i think someone needs to sit down with jason garrett and fire him for always seeming to look good and then becoming complacent and predictable...he did it as an OC and now hes doing it as a HC

Eli Manning, Trent Difer, Brad Johnson, Jim McMahon and Rex Grossman just to name a few weren't good enough. What did all these teams have in common? A ferocious D. This is proof that the whole " let's measure a QB by how many rings he has" is complete and utter bullcrap.

YEAH DUDE! CHAMPION OF THE UNIVERSE!

It was a mix of everything, Romo's horrible decisions, the Lions D coming alive finally and well..Megatron showing Rex Ryan a thing or two....

  18. Right now I can't really say if Romo is what Deion says he is..He and everyone should just wait until the end of the season....

    TJ Dez Caught It

What about the playcalling? In both games Romo blew this season, he was throwing passes he shouldn't have been throwing. Why the hell are we still passing when we're up late in the 4th quarter?

I blame Archie as much as I blame Romo.
