The Miami Dolphins fear the injury to quarterback Chad Henne's non-throwing shoulder could be season-ending, Jeff Darlington of NFL.com reports. Henne was injured during Sunday's 26-16 loss to the San Diego Chargers and is seeking a second opinion on the shoulder today. Matt Moore replaced Henne, completing 17-of-26 pass attempts for 167 yards, but was intercepted by safety Eric Weddle on the Dolphins' final offensive play, dropping his passer rating to 67.3. Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network reports the Dolphins have tried, but failed to sign a veteran quarterback this week. Spurning the Dolphins' offer was former Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David Garrard and Jake Delhomme, the longtime starter for the Carolina Panthers who spent last season playing for Dolphins offensive coordinator Brian Daboll with the Cleveland Browns. Who cares if he wins? They're not doing it now. And besides, what if he comes in and is absolutely amazing? I think a Tebow/Marshall combo would be AMAZING. At this point, ownership needs butts in the seats and Tim Tebow does that!! Bring him in and give him a look. Honestly, what do you have to lose at this point?
Tebow can't get on the field in a system he's known for 2 years. He's not going to get traded to Miami in week 5 and be amazing.
Rumor has it the reason they can't sign Garrard is because they won't commit to him that he'll be playing once he learns the playbook. Delhomme seems to have the same issue.
Why? All three big QB prospects are better than Mallet. Besides, drafting a QB would show Sporano was wrong about Henne.
im not sure how mallet did in preseason but he was soooo over analyzed and just for the record landry jones freaking sucks
If I'm not mistaken, he was ranked second in ratings as a rookie QB. I think McElroy was first. He was horrible.
