The Giants added a cornerback Tuesday, signing free agent Justin Tryon, ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported. The Colts cut Tryon last week, and the fourth-year player said on his Twitter that head coach Jim Caldwell wanted him to start but that "it wasn't up to him." Caldwell responded by saying, "If I wanted him to be here, he'd still be here, plain and simple." Tryon made seven tackles in three games this season. He started six of the 12 games he played in last season and recorded seven passes defensed and 44 tackles. The Giants lost starting CB Terrell Thomas to a torn ACL in the preseason, and first-round CB Prince Amukamara has yet to play after breaking his foot in training camp. Source: Pro Football Weekly
