Colts are looking better and Painter will be more comfortable this week. Colts.

The question is to the Chiefs want to win now for a douche like Haley, or do they want to win the Suck for Luck contest.

I think you guys are gonna win that, looking at your schedule.

I guess I'm the only one not impressed with Painters 40% completion percentage. I get that was his first start, but Flowers and Carr are no joke at corner. Clark should have no trouble getting open though.

I think this is a toss up and should depend mostly on how Painter advances from game 1 to game 2.

Nice play by Breaston to catch the ball and make the effort to get the score!

After watching Indy's performance after they built a 24-7 lead, it appears that maybe the Colts are preparing themselves for the post-Manning era by separating themselves in the Suck for Luck Sweepstakes. If any team in the NFL knows how vital having a horse at QB is, it's James Irsay & Co.

I think the Colts are doing a fantastic job of showing other NFL teams how dangerous it is to build your team around 1 player. As great as Manning is, you just can't build your team for 1 player.

So true when that player's out, but a record of 141-67 plus a Super Bowl made the risk well worth it. But to your point, recovering from the loss of that player is brutal. Another example could be the Cards and Kurt Warner's retirement. Although they didn't build around him, their offense was structured around Warner. They've been in free fall ever since he left.

I have never understood this about building around a single player. If that were the case, wouldn't they have built the best team possible? Why would they draft players that were not really good at their position no matter who or maybe because of who the quarterback is. Imagine what Manning could have done with an awesome defense and a couple of 6'5" receivers. Now that would be building a team around Manning. Not this team that cannot get off the field on 3rd down. Remember the Dolphin game in 2009? He had only 15 minutes but still lead the offense to a win. I can't believe people think that this team is built around Manning. A top 3 defense and some tall wide receivers. Now that is a team built for a great quarterback. He would have 2-3 rings by now.
