Lions Improve To 5-0 For First Time In 55 Years In 24-13 Win Over Bears

Discussion in 'NFL General Discussion' started by BigBlueBruiser, Oct 10, 2011.

  1. Jahvid Best took a handoff from Matthew Stafford and went untouched up the middle for an 88-yard touchdown, and the Detroit Lions went on to beat the Chicago Bears 24-13 on Monday night to improve to 5-0. It's their best start since 1956. The unbeaten Lions, playing their first regular-season Monday night game in a decade, trailed 10-7 at halftime before two third-quarter touchdowns. Stafford put Detroit ahead with an 18-yard strike to Brandon Pettigrew, and Best's long run padded the Lions' advantage. The Bears looked unnerved at times by the raucous Ford Field crowd.

This crap really is awesome. Very cool to see this franchise putting it all together after such a lousy stretch.

I tell you what. They take care of business and get a home playoff game watch out. I freaking love this team. The defense is trying to be old school with the destruction they cause up front. Offense is up there with the top tier offenses. Can't wait for the Packer game.

about time they put it all together. Now they need to learn how to start off fast and put their foot on the opponents throat.

Don't be surprised if your 49ers have a let down after that beatdown of the Bucs. The Lions bring it every game.

I'm all ove the Lions bandwagon.....they used to be the only reason the Saints weren't the worst team in the league :) but seriously I'm enjoing watching them. Kind of reminds me of our Super Bowl run. Enjoy it Lions fans.

I would actually be shocked if the Lions didn't kick the Niners butt with ease.

It's the greatest feeling in the world, having a team finally who can compete who actually is in every game. I don't care if we lose as long as we play hard and we are competitive. It's been a long long longggggggg time since we actually had a team. No smack talk here, we don't deserve it as Lions fans yet but damn it feels good to want to watch games, and not be pissed all sunday/all week long after a game. Feeling that "WIN" feeling and hearing national reports and articles about my team...it just feels amazing. It has brought so much joy to my state you have no idea, a lot of hope and fuzzy feelings in the state of michigan.
