Buccaneers coach Raheem Morris' illegal contact resulted in a fine by the NFL, but not any remorse. According to multiple reports, Morris was fined $250,000 for illegally contacting players during the lockout. Morris previously acknowledged speaking to TE Kellen Winslow and CB Aqib Talib despite knowing he was prohibited from having any contact with players. When asked about the fine on Monday, Morris was unapologetic. "It's something that we already addressed during the offseason," Morris said. "We talked about the call to Kellen, when I told him congratulations for having his baby. A lot of people don't know that situation, but it was tough for him to have one, and for his wife and for his personal family life, and we'll deal with that at another time. I'd do it again if I had to … call Kellen Winslow, whether there was a lockout or not." Source: Tampa Tribune
Good for him. Even though he is a division rival it is good to see a young talented coach do the right thing by his players. Kudos. Just lose this weekend please
Coach Morris just got my respect. KW's wife had just had a kid. I think a call of that nature should have still been allowed. I still woulda done it
