Cincinnati Bengals owner Mike Brown declined comment Tuesday about whether the team has plans to trade quarterback Carson Palmer before next week's trade deadline. "I don't have a thing to say about that," Brown said while attending the NFL Fall Meeting, adding that he doesn't like to comment on football matters. Palmer is currently out of football, holding true to his pledge to retire if he isn't traded. Brown hasn't given in to Palmer's demand and said in the preseason that the Bengals consider Palmer to be retired. The Bengals retain Palmer's rights since he is under contract, meaning he can't play for another team unless he is traded or released. The NFL's trade deadline is Tuesday, Oct.18.

So the Browns get nothing instead of trying to get a draft pick or two? Brilliant.

The Bengals are not going to trade Carson Palmer, we get it, lol. Then again, how many times did Mike Brown say he would not trade Ocho Cinco? I see Mike Brown trading Palmer eventually.
