Buccaneers WR Mike Williams Apologizes To Raheem Morris For Poor Play Via Text

Bucs receiver Mike Williams said he sent several text messages to coach Raheem Morris Monday apologizing for his poor play in the Bucs 48-3 loss at San Francisco according to Rick Stroud of the St. Petersburg Times. Williams had a critical penalty, dropped a pass and lost a fumble against the 49ers. After five games, he has only one touchdown reception and is averaging 9.6 yards per catch. A year ago, he led all rookies with 11 touchdowns and averaged 14.8 yards per reception. "I'm playing terrible,'' Williams said Wednesday. "To my aspect, I'm playing terrible. I should be doing a lot more to make my team win, I should be getting in the end zone. That's something I did last year was get into the end zone, put up points for this team and that's what I should be doing and I'm not doing it right now so I've got to get it together." "Like I said, this week, you're going to see the old Mike Williams back. Like I told Raheem, I'm back now.''

He said it straight up after practice today. Said he was playing bad even awful. Said it's up to him to get better and start scoring for his offense. Our little boy is growing up......*sniff*

 

So if he played better they would have lost by 21 instead of 45. Way to go champ.

These players really seem to take after their coach. Good for them.
