Jerry Jones Second Guesses Cowboy's Conservative Play Calling

After trying his best not to second guess Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett, owner Jerry Jones spoke at length about not going for the dagger late in the game according to Clarence E . Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. He thought this could have been a big win for the Cowboys and would have preferred to try to make touchdowns and first downs rather than play conservatively. Jones lamented the decision to run it three times before giving the ball back to Tom Brady for the game winning drive. "Last week we didn’t go conservative and we second-guessed that," Jones said. " This week we went conservative and we’re going to second-guess that. I would have like to have seen him go for the first down. We bet he couldn’t take the ball the length of the field and he did. We are here like we are because we thought we could pull another stop. That is asking a lot of the defense to pull another stop."

Shut the heck up Jerry. Our line is young and lacks cohesion. When your line is playing like that all you can do is be consevative

I actually give Garrett props for sticking with the run today.

Watching an elite QB run the 2 minute offense behind at the end of the game is a thing of beauty. We were on the wrong side of that today. VS 95% of the NFLs QB, we come out of this game with a gritty W

 

Two weeks ago, Jerry also questioned the playcalling, when we were throwing whacky passes up by 20.

Jerry Jones should just release Garrett and name himself head coach. He's already the head coach, but all he needs is the title. Imagine his business card: Jerry Jones; Owner, President, General Manager, and Head Coach.

 

So he snitches when they run, snitches when they pass? I don't get it. He just likes hearing himself talk.

And again, I didn't see the game. But they were up 3 points, with like 3 minutes left. They should have been running right? To take time off the clock?

 

Their running game isn't working. So, what do they do?

Jerry Jones wears too many hats.

That's why the Rangers are in the World Series. Their organizational lines are much clearer. One person does one job, and that's it.

 

As much as I hate how overrated the Cowboys are they're damned if they do damned of they don't. If they play aggressive (i.e. passing like crazy when they have the lead) and Romo throws his patented picks they get bashed. If they play it safe they get bashed. To make matters worse it usually their own heading the charge smh, he's such an butt clown.
