Free Agent WR Terrell Owens Feels Teams Will Be Interested After Workout

Discussion in 'NFL General Discussion' started by BigBlueBruiser, Oct 25, 2011.

  1. No teams attended Terrell Owens' workout in Calabasas, Calif., on Tuesday, but the 37-year-old receiver said he was confident that he showed enough that teams will be interested. The free-agent receiver is unsigned after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament and having surgery in early April. He participated in some drills and caught passes Tuesday in the workout that was televised on ESPN and the NFL Network. "I definitely feel there are some teams out there that are interested," he told ESPN. Agent Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN's Rachel Nichols before the workout that he was betting on Owens doing well enough to generate buzz and teams will become more interested. Owens said he wasn't deterred by the fact that no scouts were in attendance and said his workout "speaks for itself." "I only need one team," Owens told the NFL Network. "I only need one chance." Owens said he felt good after the workout and that overall, "I probably feel better than I did before when I got hurt."

  3. Chris Mortensen ripped the two networks for showing this "dog and pony show".

So.. T.O. tore his ACL in April and is running routes in Oct.. Hmm, I think we found our first HGH test candidate.

From what I understand tearing an ACL takes a year or more to heal. And some even say longer. Either he has Tiger blood or he is cheating somehow.

Am I wrong? Or is he just that much of a badass?

If anyone could get themselves in shape to play at that age after that injury... it's Owens.

I thought no teams were going to the workout??

  10. No teams were at attendance............but ESPN and NFL Network both sent reporters to cover it. It was on T.V. but I didn't bother tuning in.

None did, but he's sending the workout to all 32 teams. He thinks that it will garner some interest for him.

He is in unbelievable shape and always has been. But to come back from an ACL injury at 37 in 7 months is just insane. I tend to lean towards him cheating somehow. HGH?

  13. I'd still take Randy Moss............

I'd rather T.O., Moss is a one trick pony. Look at T.O. and Moss' stats from last year.

I doubt it. He probably traveled to some third world country and got some acupuncture from some crazy witch doctor or something.

And very few 37 year olds are in a 27 year olds shape...

    Owens' "37" or "38" isn't like a normal person...lol.

  19. It's too bad we may never see him on an NFL roster again...............but it's not like he gave teams a choice.

I say he still has a shot to get on a team. Dude is a beast regardless of how old he is. He's dedicated to on the field play, no one can take that away from him.
