Minnesota Vikings defensive end Brian Robison was fined $20,000 by the National Football League for kicking Green Bay Packers offensive lineman T.J. Lang on Sunday, Jeremy Fowler of the Pioneer Press reports. Following a second quarter field goal attempt by Packers kicker Mason Crosby, Robison kicked Lang in the groin area, drawing a 15-yard personal foul penalty. Robison apologized via Twitter to Lang, who accepted. "All joking aside I think @Brian_Robison is a heck of a player..just caught up in the emotion of the game.. apology accepted", Lang tweeted on Monday morning. Robison signed a three-year, $8.97 million contract extension before the lockout, which includes a $688,000 base salary this season. The $20,000 is about half of Robison's weekly game check of $40,471. Source: Author, Source
