Patriots Place CB Ras-I Dowling On IR, Activate RB Kevin Faulk From PUP List

    A day after the bombshell of releasing CB Leigh Bodden, the Patriots have dropped another one. The Patriots just placed rookie CB Ras-I Dowling on Injured Reserve with a hip injury, leaving the team with two fewer defensive backs than they had two days ago. In addition, they activated DE Brandon Deaderick and RB Kevin Faulk off the Physically Unable to Perform list. Both players figure to participate in the game against the Steelers tomorrow. Faulk will help with pass-protection and catching passes in the screen game.
