Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton has been named the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Month for October, the team announced. Dalton completed 82-of-130 pass attempts (63 percent) for 909 yards with six touchdowns and five interceptions, an 83.1 passer rating, as the Bengals went 4-0 during the month of October, picking up wins over the Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, Indianapolis Colts and Seattle Seahawks. Those opponents have a combined record of 9-21. Selected with the 35th overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft, the former TCU standout has completed 62.4 percent of his 218 pass attempts for 1,479 yards with nine touchdowns and seven interceptions this season. Dalton also has 22 rushing yards and used his legs to get into the end zone in the Bengals' 23-20 win over the Bills in Week 4. Source: Mac's Football Blog
the fact that the Bengals are so much more successful at the QB position with this kid is a major indictment of Carson Palmer (enjoy him Oakland). Granted, the new offensive scheme is helping this rookie but he is thriving right now.
Not that there were any other distractions or dysfunction in the locker room...other than Carson Palmer...lol. He was a very small part of the problem that was the 2010 Cincinnati Bengals.
So did the rest of the team...actually way before Carson Palmer...point being...not all Palmer's fault.
