ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports that continued inconsistent outings by quarterback Tim Tebow will result in the Broncos benching him, with the team possibly turning to third-string QB Brady Quinn as soon as today. Quinn is expected to be active today for the first time in three weeks against the Raiders. Coach John Fox said Monday that he definitely saw improvement from Tebow against the Lions, but it's looking like he may only get one more start before the Broncos seriously consider benching him. Schefter says that Tebow must show improvement on third downs. Source: Adam Schefter: Twitter.com
Intersting fact that Kurt Warner showed today on nfln.... Tebows stats are better than Eli Manning's in his first starts sent from my supercharged EVO
What they were saying is that you can't pull a player bc they struggle.... Warner was saying you got to stick with them...saying imageing if they would benched Eli and put me/Warner in sent from my supercharged EVO
10 for 21, 124 yards and 2 TD's, 12 carries for 117 yards. I'd say that's some improvement. But it's true. You have to let a guy struggle and grow. Let's play trivia! Who's stats are these in their first season as a starter? 155-293 for 1,749 yards. 9 TD's, 18 INTs. 38 rushing attempts for 300 yards.
Troy Aikman! Not saying that Tebow is Troy Aikman but give him a FULL season (or at least the rest of this year) to see how he can develop and to be honest, give the kid some weapons.
Wow..... All I remember is the cowboys only winning one game that year it was 89 if I ain't mistaken.... I was freshman in high school sent from my supercharged EVO
Give him some Weapon indeed, and let him be Tebow. It might not be a QB clinic he puts out there, but he can get you a win with his legs and his ability to lead and score. Eric Decker, I saw him play for Minnesota in college and I knew he had it in him to be a playmaker in the nfl. Now get some more guys like that around him and lets see how Denver does. I'm really rooting for the guy, maybe it's just because everyone hates the poor kid because of his beliefs and the hype but he seems like a good dude, I would like to see him succeed.
Amen. The hatred is laughable. Does he light the field up like Rogers, Brees, or Brady? Of course not. But the kid can manage an offense.
