Cowboys starting inside linebacker Sean Lee - the team's leading tackler - was inactive for Sunday's game against Seattle and exited the locker room wearing a black, protective brace on his left wrist and arm. Lee suffered a dislocated left wrist in last week's loss at Philadelphia and didn't practice last week. Lee visited a hand specialist in Dallas last week and plans to play with the injury instead of opting for season-ending surgery. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Sunday that Lee is also dealing with "a little fracture" in his wrist. Jones said that Lee "might be able" to play against Buffalo on Sunday. "There was some ligament that cast should stabilize. Ultimately, it should repair without surgery," Jones said. "We've got a way that is technically a secure way to have him play and function and not risk further injury. He's got to have the swelling down. But that's getting right. Then, he's got to be comfortable himself. But I think that can happen. I'm planning on that happening, and we're planning on that happening. We feel ultimately that we can secure it enough that he can go ahead and play this season." Source: Dallas Morning News
I hate to think what this defense would have looked like if Sean Lee didn't break out like he did. James/Brooking just is not an acceptable duo.
